An Oilers Musings: Cold Remedy Tea, Peppermint to the Rescue, Bug Spray Kills Ants, Purification really Purify and Dragon Time for Ladies :)

Hello Fellow Oilers,
Our family is headed down to LA for a week vacation to celebrate my Dad’s birthday and spend time as a family together as well. Thus the delayed post.:) This will be my only post for this week and next week I will post toward the end of the week.
So once again here is another weeks musing of discovering and benefiting from Gods amazing gift of essential oils!

Sunday/ Monday: During and after church I really felt like I was coming down with the cold/flu everyone has been having in our group. So immediately when I got home I started the tea kettle up and turned on the diffuser with some Thieves. Before bed I had 5 cups of essential oil tea. Here is the mixture I made up and always turn to when feeling sick.
Essential Oil Tea Remedy
Coffee Cup filled with hot water
1 drop Thieves
2 drops R.C
3 drops Purification
4 drops Lemon
1/8-1/4 cup honey

Sometimes I will add some more Thieves and RC if I feel like I would like it to be more potent. It is all personal taste.:) Let me know if you try it or have another tea mixture you rely on when you are feeling poorly.
I didn't go to sleep until 3:30am that night, or morning I guess.:D Some friends were spending the night and we girls had a sleep over; need I say more.:) Anyway I was sure when I woke up in the morning I would be horribly sick, but to my relief I felt surprisingly well and energetic.

Next time you are feeling run down and listless try my tea remedy you won’t be disappointed.:)

Tuesday: My neck was really out, which led to a very painful headache on the verge of a migraine pain. So as always I forgot about my wonderful oils which I sell and write and talk about all the time, and I didn't even think to put it on until the evening when my dear sister suggested it. I quickly remembered as if I am so unknowledgeable in this area.:P Anyway I finally got the peppermint and rubbed it on all the trouble spots and within 30 minutes I had a lot of relief. Peppermint is a life saver!

Wednesday: We were doing a project that consisted of sugar cubes and of course they were found out by sugar ants and then the sugar ants found our cat food.  As we were cleaning up the ants and the mess my sister Abigail brought the Bug Spray that I had made for camp and sprayed it all over the ants, they all died or deserted within five minutes!!! You can find the recipe here! I was so ecstatic to find out that it works for ants too.:D

Thursday: My Mom had a really painful ingrown toenail. So I got some Purification and she applied it to the area, within a couple hours she said the pain was completely gone! The same day my sister badly bruised a small section of her leg. Once again I applied Purification and Lavender and two days later she only had a tiny bit of bruising! Yeaahhhh!!!! I love Purification! It is great for bug bites, scrapes, bruise’s, minor infections etc.. Purchase Purification; in your next Essential Reward order, you will not be disappointed.:)

Friday: I was having a bit of a rough time with my nerves and hormones, basically I spent half of the day crying.:) My Mom brought me Dragon Time and I placed a drop under my tongue and within 30 minutes my nerves were back and had a much better countenance and a good rest of the day. I am loving Dragon Time, I have used it probably 4-5 times when I am having a “woman moment”J  Have you tried or used Dragon Time ladies?

Please leave any thoughts, comments or suggestions below!!!

Have a blessed week!

Hello Friends,
This weekend we are going to be gone at our church's family camp! Thus lot's of DIY's this week.:) So enjoy!

Monday: I cut the top of my foot on Sunday so when we got home from church  I immediately put some Animal Scents Ointment on it and within minutes it took the pain away and started the healing process. The ointment is really amazing, have you tried it yet?
I am defiantly going to include this in my essential oil stash for this weekend.:)

Tuesday: We are getting prepared for our camping trip this weekend so I made some after- sun oil. You can find the recipe here.

Wednesday: I made some Thieves hand sanitizes, not only for camp but also just to have on hand. You can find the recipe here.
Easy thieves hand sanitizer

Thursday: I organized all of my oils!!! I put them on a excel spread sheet in alphabetical order and placed these labels from Young Living in my order for this month. Hopefully they will stay organized longer then last time.:)

Friday: We are off to the mountains, so happy holiday weekend everyone!

I will fill you in about our adventures with oils whilst camping and any "oil life saving" stories when we have returned.

An Oilers Musing: Animal Scents Ointment, Ortho Sport Massage Oil, Diffusing Joy for Pilates, Making Thieves Toothpaste (again) and Relieve It with Aromaglides!

Happy Saturday!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful week. I can't believe summer is almost over! How was your summer?

This week was quite adventurous .....

Monday: Our cat got in a fight or something with another cat and came home with his leg covered in blood and a big cut.  So after accessing it I got out Young Living Animal Scents and applied the salve to his wound. By Tuesday the wound was almost gone and looked very much healed! Yeaaaaaa! If you have not tried YL Animal Scents it is great stuff. Not only is it great for your animals but also for ruff and craked heels.  That is what I originally bought it for and it worked amazing with that as well. So once again a win, win!!!

Tuesday: I got to use the Ortho Sport Massage oil for myself and my brother.  I had a really bad headache and my brother legs have been bothering him as well. So we both doesed ourselves in the massage oil.:)

Wednesday: I brought my diffuser to our Pilates class and diffused Joy. Our Pilates teacher loved the smell of it. I was so happy as I am in love with Joy as of late! It was so wonderful to be inhaling it well doing the class.

Thursday: I made our favorite toothpaste with  Thieves Essential oil you can find the recipe here. Our family loves it! Let me know if you try it.

Friday: My Mom got home from her Pilates class and said she felt like she pulled a muscle in her back.): Sadly we were out of Peppermint (very unusual), so I got out our Relieve It that I had previously attached some roll-ons that you can find here. I have found these very handy as some oils I like placing the roll-ons on the bottles to created a more relaxing massage sensations. Have you tried YL's aromaglides yet?

Have you had a good week experiencing essential oils?

What oil saved you family life's this week? I love hearing "oil life saving" stories.:)

Have a blessed Lord's Day tomorrow!

Happy oiling,

An Oiler's Musings: Thieves Household Cleaner, Diffusing Joy, Peppermint for a Headache and Leg Pain, Hydrating with Lemon Water!

Hello Everyone!
Every other Saturday I plan on posting my weekly experience with Young Living's Essential Oils! I hope to encourage you to use your oils daily and regularly.
So here is my first weekly " An Oiler's Musings" post!! Let me know your thoughts and what you think of this blog series.

Monday: Our cat threw up on our carpet that we had just recently cleaned.:) So I immediately got our awesome Thieves Household cleaner, and got on Pinterst to look up how to properly proportion the cleaner and water for carpet use. I did 1/2 capful of the cleaner in 3 cups of water. I poured a little bit of it in the 3 trouble spots and then placed a clean towel over the spot and stepped on it a couple times. Within a minute the spot was completely dry and it looked like it had never been soiled! Also the odor was gone!! Then I was able to use the rest of the mixture to mop the kitchen floor.:) Win, win!!! Gotta love that cleaner.:) Thank you Young Living!

Tuesday: Just love the smell of Joy! It is now my favorite oil to diffuse. Consider ordering it next month in your Essential Reward order, you won't be disappointed, trust me.:)

Wednesday and Thursday: My brother Luke's legs were bothering him  (and of course he didn't tell me.:)) So Wednesday night I smelled Peppermint as I was heading to my bedroom. I asked him what he was doing and he explained his situation, it gave me great delight to know that he had already started with oils!
Thursday: I had a terrible headache; after walking into a home that was burning some awful stuff, so when I got home I rubbed some peppermint on my forehead and neck and it gave me relief!
We use our Peppermint a lot. I order it almost every month through our Essential Reward order. We love PEPPERMINT!!! How do you use your Peppermint? Does it get a lot of use in your household?

Friday: I love drinking water; and adding a delicious citrus oil is even more inviting. Plus it helps keep a balanced weight and can aid in cravings and portion management!

I hope this post spurs you on to using your oils on a more regular basis.
This by all means is not everything I used oil wise for this week, but this was all I could remember off the top of my head.:) Have you discovered a new YL product that you have fallen in love with this week? How often do you use your oils?

Have a blessed weekend!
